- Growth: across a council or an area you draw, how suitable each lot is, how many homes the land could hold, and where a Plan for Victoria target, a projection or your own total would go. A first screen, not a housing capacity assessment. Open Growth in the sidebar. Growth
- Unknowns stay unknown in Rank Sites: where a layer isn't supplied, a criterion now reads "Not known" instead of a neutral 50. Rankings may change.
- Redevelopment Timing counts consolidated lots: lots on a consolidation plan were being left out by mistake, as if they were common property. Results can change.
- Real population projections: Victoria in Future figures now cover all of Victoria, from the official files: 522 SA2s and 80 councils for 2021 to 2036. Until now the app showed hand-typed sample figures for 10 SA2s and nothing elsewhere, so projections shown in Housing Balance and reports before today were wrong, and yours will change if you run them again. Growth is measured from 2026.
- How households travel, and crashes around a site: Transport Impact now shows cars, driving, walking and public transport for households in places like this, parking demand, activity from travel against the Australian guidelines, and fatal and injury crashes reported within 400 m of the site. Each passed a test on places left out of the fit, or says it didn't. Transport Impact
- The method, and results to download: a Guide page with the formulas, sources and limits behind the results; results by site as GeoJSON or CSV in EPSG:4326; and a tick to show the buildings on a site beside your design. How It's Worked Out
- Compare with what's there: Compare now has an Existing and scenarios table: what's on the land now beside up to 5 scenarios, with one set of definitions. The old estimates of existing jobs by zone had no source and are gone, so jobs show as not known unless entered.
- Per household: the results now show what the homes mean for a household: people, income needed to rent or buy, electricity, water, kerbside waste and school-age children, each with its source, and a list of what has no sound source. Development Types
- Change a type's land for a scenario: block size, street width, open space, civic land and redevelopment are now in Assumptions, each marked as sourced or an assumption, with the sums shown. Development Types
- Development types worked out: a type's homes and jobs per hectare now come from its building mix, so its card matches what it produces (Medium Density said 40 homes a hectare and had been building 110). Precinct streets come from Clause 56 street widths and block sizes, and parks from the Precinct Structure Planning Guidelines, so precincts on vacant land show fewer homes than before. Medium Density is now mostly townhouses, at 65 homes a hectare of lots, and Activity Centre uses suburban offices, not CBD towers, so both show notably fewer than before. New lane-km and Net Developable Area, which includes local streets as in a PSP, are in the land budget. Development Types
- Workplace jobs: "Jobs" is now "Workplace jobs", as it counts jobs based on the site, not what residents do for work. You can also keep what's on a site, so it doesn't count as lost.
- What's here now: each site shows the homes, people and land already on it, as an estimate from the 2021 Census that you can change, and results read Existing − Lost + New = Total. The map's numbers show the net change once that's known. Land being redeveloped no longer gives up street land it already has, so precincts on developed land show more homes than before.

- Guide by Stage, Glossary and FAQ: what to do at each stage of a project, what the terms mean, and the questions people ask. Guide by Stage, Glossary, FAQ
- More examples: townhouses, mixed use and an activity centre to start from, on the first screen.
- Start Here: a new way in for new people: a first project in 10 minutes, and a short card that follows it on screen. Your First Project
- Numbers from overlay schedules: where a Design and Development Overlay states setbacks, coverage, storeys or fence height plainly, the Check measures them and Fill designs to them. Overlays in the Check
- Every overlay in the Check: each overlay on a site gets its own line with what to do next, and the Check lists every rule category as Checked, Partial or Not checked. Overlays in the Check
- Accounts: sign-in now runs on URBANMIND itself. Change your password in Settings; if you forget it, an admin can reset it. Authentication
- Early access: new accounts now join a waiting list and are reviewed personally. You can still explore without an account. Signing In
- Illustrative pictures: turn a room in the walk-through, or the building on the map, into a photoreal picture for the sales sheets, labelled as illustrative, with the design beside it. Signed in, 20 a month. Illustrative Pictures
- Walk through a home: walk through any apartment in the browser, on any floor, with the real buildings around it and the sun at a time you choose. Walk Through a Home
- Sales sheets: a page for each home with its plan, areas, sun and outlook and your branding, as a PDF or a link. Sales Sheets
- Sun and outlook for each home: hours of winter sun and how far it looks out, floor by floor. In the City of Melbourne it uses the City's measured heights; elsewhere, unknown heights are estimated, and it says how many. Sun and Outlook
- Edit a floor plan: plans now have walls, door swings and windows. Change a unit's inside, or bring in an openPlan3D project or Apple RoomPlan scan, and see the standards update as you go. Furniture is drawn in, and it says when a bed won't fit. Editing a Floor Plan
- Floor plans out: any floor as an A3 PDF to scale, a DXF in MGA2020 or an SVG, with a typical floor in the site report. Editing a Floor Plan
- Accessibility measured: Standards D18 and E3-11 from a plan's doors, paths and bathroom layouts. Units in Drawn Buildings
- Easier to reach: a Units link on apartment rows, Upload and Drone capture at the top of a site's card, and Fill says what stopped it. Each model's card says why it's an estimate. A warning on sites over 10 ha. Build a Scenario

- Units in drawn buildings: apartment and mixed-use buildings get floor plans of real homes, which the Check measures. Units in Drawn Buildings
- Rooms in 3D: one floor at a time, with the building cut away and rooms coloured and named. Checking Inside the Building
- Fill passes the Check by design: it works on a real single parcel, plants canopy, adds communal gardens and sets setbacks to suit, and blocks face the street. Build a Scenario
- City of Melbourne context: measured neighbour heights and council trees in the Check. Rules and How They're Checked
- Measure from a capture: ground, contours, spot levels and trees from a drone capture. Designing on a Drone Capture
31 October 2026
- Drone captures: upload a point cloud, or use the City of Melbourne's 2018 capture. Designing on a Drone Capture
- Inside the building: the standards of Clauses 57 and 58 per dwelling, from an IFC model's rooms, with a dwelling schedule. Checking Inside the Building
- Schemes: compare Fill options side by side and keep designs as schemes. Build a Scenario
- Presentation mode: press
Ffor full screen with live numbers and what-ifs, for a meeting. 3D Visualization - The 2D site plan: as a drawing on screen, an A3 PDF at a true scale, or a DXF. Reports & Export
