Walk Through a Home

Overview

Stand inside an apartment before it's built: walk from room to room, step onto the balcony, change the floor to see how the view changes, and watch the sun move through the day. It needs nothing installed: it runs in the browser.

How to Start

Pick a unit and choose Walk through, or open a shared link and choose it there. You stand in the living room, at the height of that floor, with its walls, doors, windows and furniture.

  • W A S D to walk, drag to look, the arrow keys to turn and look, Shift to go faster, Esc to leave. On a phone, use the buttons and drag.
  • Floor: the same home on another floor, to see how the view changes. You stay where you are in the home.
  • Day and time: the sun on 21 June, 21 March or 21 December, through the day, with shadows from the building and those around it.
  • The plan in the corner shows where you are, with north up.
  • Illustrative picture of this view: a photoreal picture of what you're looking at, when you're signed in. Not on shared links. Illustrative Pictures

You can't walk through walls, windows or furniture, or out of the entrance. The balcony door's open.

What it shows: space, light and what's out of the window, using the same buildings and heights as the sun and outlook figures. Buildings are plain shapes. What it doesn't: finishes, materials, trees, or what a building looks like. It's the design as it was when the link was made, on a shared link. Sizes and furniture are as on the plan: not a building-code or construction model.
