Illustrative Pictures

Overview

Turn a view of your design into a photoreal picture for the sales sheets: a room from the walk-through, or the building from the map. An AI image model makes it, in about 10 to 15 seconds. It's a picture to show the feel of a place, not a record of the design.

How to Make One

You need to be signed in. Each person can make 20 a month, and a failed try doesn't count.

  • A room: in Walk Through a Home, go to the view you want and choose Illustrative picture of this view.
  • The building: under Layers, set the Basemap to anything but Satellite: satellite imagery isn't used for pictures. Set the map to the view you want, in 3D. Then, under the building's Units, open Sales sheets and choose make a picture of it. Handles, labels and overlays are left out of the view.

Choose Make the picture. It shows beside the view it came from, so you can compare them. Then Download it, or Add to the sales sheets: up to three go on the first page of the PDF and at the top of the shared link, with the caption. Remove one with the × on it.

What You Can and Can't Rely On

Nothing in the picture is measured. The label "Illustrative: made by AI from the design. Not a measured or exact view." is written into the image, and the sheets add a caption.

In our test on a 12-storey example, the model kept the camera, the walls and the building's size and place. It also changed things:

  • Rooms: materials and what's out of the window are invented. It can add or remove small things: switches, doors, cupboards.
  • Buildings: the design has no façades yet, so windows, balconies, materials, roof plant and planting are all invented, and the storeys may not be exact. It can restyle what's around the site too.

Compare each picture with the design before using it. Have it checked before selling from it, with the words on the sheet: sales material is covered by the Australian Consumer Law and Victoria's off-the-plan rules, and this isn't legal advice.

Don't measure from it, and use Sun and Outlook for Each Home for sun and views, not the picture.

Where Your View Goes

Your view is sent to the image model's provider through OpenRouter to make the picture. For the building, that includes the map behind the design, never satellite imagery. It's only sent when you choose Make the picture. Pictures added to the sheets are kept with the building; a shared link keeps its own copy until you turn it off.
